I'd like to hear some more solid details about XIII, not these tiny (and I mean tiny) tidbits of information and speculation.
It's not like it's a bad game, I like the open world / sandbox nature of it. It just gets old to me after a while. As you said, jcgamer, we'll see.

All the extra junk you can buy for games systems is getting crazy. I didn't even buy guitar hero until recently because I thought all these things were lame. Of course, now I wish I jumped onto guitar hero when it first came out, as it is an awesome game, but I digress. This display of accessory junk is just crazy.
They probably don't have the patents on these things yet, and that's why they didn't want pictures taken. Maybe.
I've found the GTA franchise has become a little over rated. Not that it is a bad game, just over hyped. I've owned a couple (GTA III and San Andreas). I usually play through about half the story, then just start randomly shooting people with the sniper rifle and grenade launcher, run from the cops, and cause general mayhem for a while, then never revisit the game again. I guess I just like more story and structured gameplay and direction.
Like I said, just my opinion.
The triggers work fine for me on all styles of games, from racing to shooters to RPGs. But, hey, if this helps some people, then it is a good addition. Ugly though!

Silent Hill has been one of, if not, THE scariest game created. Resident Evil had its moments, but kind of went downhill as far as truly "frightening, wake up in the middle of the night nightmare" type of disturbing imagery when compared to the SH series.

Very true. MGS on PS1 changed the way I viewed video games, and I've been playing for 25 years. The story was innovative and overwelming in scope. It truly upped the ante for games across the board. MGS2 - OK but not really my cup of tea. Snake Eater was solid (no pun intended) though. This looks to bring new levels of innovation and story telling back to the MGS franchise. I really look forward to playing this game. If you a true gamer, you will buy this game, reguardless of fan boy loyaties...
The commentators seemed to push in the direction of "video games are bad" when there was nothing to really back up the argument. The last comment from the anchor was something like "I don't know if it compares to comic books of the 50's or rock and roll of the 70's and 80's". Comparing an unfinished game to the complete game on an opposing system doesn't really make sence. Also, still screens never do justice to any game, especially when comparing something like motion blur. I mean, talking about motion effects in a STILL screen shot? I can't hook up my PS3 to the internet at home as I do not have broadband and have no access to it in that location. I can bring my machine to work where I have broadband.
